“The (W)hole of the Bagel” is a Sunday morning adult education series at Temple Sinai, designed to be a hub of enlightenment and learning. Through this intellectual and cultural salon, Temple Sinai hopes to foster a sense of community that transcends boundaries and fosters connections among its members.

Jamie Spiller is the immediate past president of Temple Sinai and professor of history at SUNY Brockport. A specialist in modern U.S. History, Jamie's research has focused on American culture and politics since the Second World War. In this presentation, he will offer some historical context from this period for the 2024 presidential campaign, and suggest how this consequential election connects to as well as breaks from historical precedents.
