OFFICE COORDINATOR
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Serve as the first point of contact for the temple and provide administrative support to ensure complete, continuous, and efficient office operations.
Essential functions:
- Provide general administrative support to the Clergy, Executive Director, and Education Director
- Act as the senior rabbi’s executive assistant
- Act as a liaison for committee members and other temple volunteers
- Receive, record, and communicate incoming donations
- Coordinate meetings
- Assist Program Coordinator as needed
- Update congregant accounts as needed (Yahrzeits, contact information, etc.)
- Manage inventory of prayer books for services, High Holy Days, and students
- Assist with temple mass mailings as needed
- Coordinate vendors and service providers for temple repairs and unexpected needs (exterminator, HVAC, etc.)
- Provide back-up coverage for Bookkeeper

Education and experience
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field - History of relevant work experience acceptable in place of degree
- 2 years of experience in an administrative or office support role
- Experience with accounting software and practices
HOURLY RATE: $22.00

FULL-TIME/NON-EXEMPT
PROGRAM COORDINATOR
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for the overall planning, implementation, and evaluation of programs and events including congregant lifecycle events (B’nai Mitzvah, Wedding, etc.), congregational programming, and private rental events.
Essential functions:
- Coordinate calendar of events
- Monitor every step of a project, program, or event for successful completion
- Plan logistics including but not limited to identifying appropriate meeting space; identifying funding source, if applicable; procurement of supplies; table/chairs set-up; scheduling security, etc.
- Create promotional materials to encourage community participation and assist in marketing and outreach efforts
- Identify best practices and procedures to inform future programs
- Track program attendance and expenses
- Prepare bima announcements
- Provide back-up coverage for Administrative Assistant (reception)

- Demonstrated experience in coordinating activities and events
- Desktop publishing experience
