Imam Ibrahim Atasoy joined the Islamic Center of Rochester in 2024 to serve in spiritual leadership, education, and community service. A graduate of Al-Azhar University in Cairo, he is a Hafiz-ul-Qur’an and fluent in English, Arabic, and Turkish. Imam Atasoy previously served as senior Imam at North East Islamic Community Center in Brooklyn and as Imam and administrator of the Hifz school at Nizamiye Mosque in South Africa.
