School of Jewish Life & Learning

Temple Sinai’s School of Jewish Life and Learning provides opportunities for our students to learn in an inclusive environment that employs innovative teaching and support resources.  Our curriculum blends the arts with academics, as well as experiential and traditional learning.

Our goals:

  • Nurturing an inclusive and welcoming environment for all students
  • Encouraging life-long learning
  • Creating Jewish identity
  • Celebrating the joy of Jewish tradition
  • Fostering a connection with community and Israel

The goal of exploring both the intellectual and spiritual aspects of Judaism is realized by focusing on the critical partnership between the School of Jewish Life & Learning and the Jewish family.

It is Temple Sinai’s belief that Jewish and Hebrew education are essential components in the development of our children. It acquaints them with and brings them closer to their spiritual and historical heritage, traditions, and culture. As they grow and learn, they will be able to actively participate in the Jewish community.

It is our goal to develop in our children a love and appreciation of their religion and the community to which they belong through a well-defined, enthusiastic educational program. They will acquire knowledge, understanding and respect concerning the various aspects of Judaism, commitments for observance, Israel, Jewish Holidays, our history, the Jewish Community, the Hebrew language, and the world around them.

Because we recognize the importance of involving the family as the core of the Jewish education process, our educational program fosters the link between the religious experience in our synagogue, the school and the Jewish home.

The School of Jewish Life & Learning program at Temple Sinai serves children and youth from K thru 12th Grade.
