Scholar at Temple Sinai - October 30 - November 1, 2009

Temple Sinai is pleased to present Rabbi Miri Gold:

We are very proud and excited that Rabbi Gold will visit Temple Sinai as a scholar-in-residence for the weekend of Oct. 30 – Nov. 2.

Rabbi Gold is a rabbi of the reform congregation Birkat Shalom, Kibbutz Gezer, Israel and has been denied official recognition by the State. You will have several opportunities to hear and learn from Rabbi Gold. We hope that you will take advantage of as many as possible.

Friday, October 30 at 6 p.m.: Erev Shabbat service followed by a potluck dairy dinner and talk by Rabbi Gold: “A Reform Rabbi’s Fight for Recognition by the Jewish State”

Saturday, October 31
9:15 a.m.: Rabbi Gold will lead Torah study
12:30 p.m.: Luncheon and lecture by Rabbi Gold (Reservations Required) “The Status of Liberal Judaism in Israel and How We are Moving Forward”

Sunday, November 1
10 a.m. & 12:30 p.m.: Rabbi Gold will teach the Adult Education Class.
